About KelseyBuilt from a love of dogs and a life of caring for others.
Before Maple Mutt, Kelsey spent more than nine years working in critical care nursing, including six years traveling to hospitals across the country.
That experience shaped the way she approaches care today: stay calm, pay attention, notice the little things, and always put wellbeing first.
But dogs have always been part of the bigger picture.
Kelsey grew up loving animals and once dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. Over time, that passion became something she could no longer ignore.
MEET FREYA + DAPHNE
The dogs behind Maple Mutt.
Kelsey’s rescue dogs, Freya and Daphne, played a huge role in shaping the vision for Maple Mutt.
Freya, a gentle Husky, came into Kelsey’s life during a difficult season and quickly became her constant companion.
Daphne, an energetic Cattle Dog, brought an entirely different personality into the mix.
Together, they reinforced something Kelsey already believed:
Every dog is different.Different energy. Different comfort levels. Different personalities. Different needs.
And good care should reflect that.
Why Maple Mutt
After years of working long shifts, Kelsey knew firsthand how hard it can be to leave a dog at home and wonder whether they are getting enough from their day.
Maple Mutt grew from a desire to create something better.
A place where dogs are known as individuals, cared for thoughtfully, and given the opportunity to enjoy genuinely great days.
One question continues to guide every decision:
